Managing individual units of a resource

The "Multiple booking capacity with attribution" setting allows you to manage resources that consist of multiple units, assigning each unit a unique name for easier tracking and specific bookings. This is ideal for resources such as sports fields, equipment, or rooms where individual units can be booked independently during the same time slot.

How to set up Multiple Booking Capacity with Attribution:

  1. Navigate to the setting of the desired resource, then navigate to the tab Booking Capacity.
  2. Select Multiple booking capacity with attribution.
    • This option enables you to manage multiple units of the resource.
  3. Click + Add sub-resource to create individual units.
    • Provide a unique name for each unit (e.g., "Hockey Field 1," "Hockey Field 2").
    • Add as many sub-resources as needed for the resource.
  4. Save your changes.

How it works:

  • Each sub-resource will be treated as an individual unit available for booking.
  • As an admin, you can manually select specific sub-resources during the booking process, while for clients, the system automatically assigns attribution.
  • Availability is automatically managed for each unit, preventing double bookings.

Example use case:

  • Sports facility: If you manage a hockey center with three fields (Hockey Field 1, 2, and 3), you can set up each field as a sub-resource. Customers can book specific fields, and the system will keep their availability separate.
  • Equipment rentals: For a rental service with unique items (e.g., "Camera 1," "Camera 2"), each item can be added as a sub-resource.
